                                              ravishing beauty xoxox

Reflection:This photo was taken at around 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Because it was a bright and sunny day i set the f-stop at 2.8 and the shutter speed was set at 250/1000. The subject, Jeffery, is in focus while the object he's holding is out of focus. The background in this photo is also out of focus. The object that Jeffery's holding is a small round pin. He's using the pin to cover his right eye. I intentionally blurred the background to portray the depth of field. I was actually going to blur Jeffery's face at first but i changed my mind because i thought this might look more interesting. I had Jeffery stand in front of the circle of the sun because i wanted the pilers out of focus. I think this photo was successful because its a different kind of depth of field. Im glad that i decided to keep Jeffery in focus and blur everything around him.

photography.

Jumping awkwardly

Reflection: For this photo, the camera is focused on the subject which is brian. The f-stop was set at 4 and shutter speed was set at 250. The background of this photo is relatively farther away than the subject. Brian is some what in the air with his right toes on the ground. His left leg is raised up into the air. His right hand is covering half of his face while his left hand is curved back. This photo is figerative. The trees in the background and the plain that brian is in gives the photo a look as if the photo were taken in the wild. Brian is intentionaly in focus because he is jumping forward. I was trying to capture brian in mid air but i wasn't able to capture the precise moment. I think this is a good start for my first shoot. In my opinion this work is successful because i was able to capture brian in focus while somewhat in the air.
